More than one way

A hexagon can be filled with triangles, or with rhombuses, or with trapezoids. Different pieces, same outline.

It must fill exactly

No gaps and no overlaps. If a piece sticks out or leaves a hole, it does not count as filling the shape.

Smaller pieces means more of them

Six triangles or three rhombuses fill the same hexagon. The smaller the piece, the more you need.

Why this matters later

Breaking a shape into equal pieces is how fractions begin. You are doing that already, without the names.
