Step 1: Let's Learn

Read it, or press Listen and follow the words.

After eight comes nine. After nine comes ten. Ten is where the first row stops.

Ten fingers

You have exactly ten fingers. So ten is one of every finger, with none spare and none missing.

Ten is a special number

Counting starts again in a new way after ten. You will meet that soon. For now, ten is a full set.

What a full ten feels like

Hold up all your fingers. Nothing left to raise. That feeling is what ten means.

Fingers are a real tool

Using your fingers is not cheating. Grown-ups do it too. It is a picture of the number you can carry anywhere.
