The idea this lesson is working on — Children tend to sort things into see-through and not see-through. The cloudy plastic fits neither: light gets through, so the spot is still there, but only dimly. Ask: did the cloudy one let all the light through, some, or none?
People choose on purpose — Windows are clear so light gets in and you can see out. Bathroom glass is cloudy so light gets in but nobody can see through. Thick curtains block the light for sleeping. Looking for these at home is the best practice.
