Step 1: Let's Learn

Read it, or press Listen and follow the words.

Counting is saying number words while you point. One word for one thing.

The touch and the word go together

Touch a thing. Say a number. Touch the next thing. Say the next number. They happen at the same moment, like clapping.

Go slowly

Fast counting is where mistakes come from. Your mouth runs ahead of your finger, and the numbers stop matching the things.

What too fast looks like

You say four numbers but only touch three things. Or you touch a thing twice. Slow down and they line up again.

The words never change order

One, two, three. Always in that order, every single time, for everything you ever count.

Step 2: Try It Yourself

Tap the apples and count out loud.
