Chapter tours

Almost every math lesson, from Pre-K to the end of high school, has a clip under a minute long. It sits near the top of Let’s Learn, under the line Watch the idea first. It says the idea in a few sentences, then shows the lesson’s own picture being used, and ends by handing over to your child.

1. Press play. Nothing downloads until you do, and it never plays by itself.
2. For subtitles, use the CC button in the player. They are off unless you turn them on.
3. Watching it does not count toward finishing the lesson. Skipping it costs nothing.

A chapter tour is a narrated video of about a minute. It names the chapter, then goes through each lesson in turn with that lesson’s picture moving on screen. There are 54 of them, for the math chapters from Pre-K to Grade 5.

The chapter screens in the course list do not show the tours at present. A chapter now opens on a screen of its own, with its lessons as large rows and its chapter check at the foot, and the tour is not on it. The lesson clips are still inside every lesson that has one.

Reading and science lessons are now picture books, and their old videos showed screens those lessons no longer have. So every reading video and every science clip and tour was taken down. 1. The videos come from the internet, so they are the one part of a lesson that does not work offline. Everything else still will. See On a phone or tablet.
2. On a slow connection, press play and give it a moment before deciding it is broken.
